a more simple time

There was once a time when we were 15 years old.

Sophomores.
Pretty cool.
But not really cool because we didn't drive yet.

Seniors were really cool.
Because they were old and they drove.
But mostly because they drove and were able to go wherever they wanted to.

One day, we became friends with Seniors.

They were smart, funny, popular and we got to hang out with them everyday.  I'm not sure exactly how or when it happened but it did.  Like a twister picking up steam in the middle of a Tempe sand storm, we took off to tear apart the most sinister semester of our lives.  We went to places in other cities. We ate at places we couldn't afford like, Hometown Buffet.  We watched The Exorcist.  We went raving.  We were in cars!

They came to our volleyball and tennis matches and even made us signs!

They came to Unconcert!  (stupid head)

They were so cool.  And we were friends with them.  Regardless of how cool we actually were, when we were with them things like that didn't even matter.  They said words we couldn't understand and jokes that were over our heads but that didn't matter either, we were just happy to be in their company.  When they would talk about college we would get sad.  We didn't want to believe it was real.  College was the enemy.  Then college came and we had to move on.

Not to be overdramatic but, one semester changed our lives forever.  We had role models, legit people to look up to for once.

11 years later & they're still cool.

Seeing them again made me realize that being lifelong friends would be something we wouldn't be able to avoid.

Sophomores + Seniors forever

Thank you for driving!
